Cialis is no more associated with vision loss

Several years ago the impotence drugs Viagra and Cialis and Levitra have been associated with a form of eye damage. It even could cause suddent blindness. 

Concerns about the side effects associated with Cialis, emerged four years ago. FDA received some data on the number of men suffering from a rare vision disorder aftr taking anti impotence drugs.

In July 2005 the FDA required that information about the risk of eye disease to be added to the labels for Viagra, Cialis and Levitra. People who take these drugs were warned to stop taking them and to contact their doctors if they experienced sudden vision loss or decreased vision in one or both eyes.

Latest research made by Eli Lilly, maker of the well known ED drug Cialis (Tadalafil), shows that all attempts to link eye disease and ED drugs are unreasonable. The latest study led on men under 65 years old did not revealed vision side effects.

Researchers observed 244 men between 30 and 65. Equal parts of them used Cialis, Viagra and a placebo during 6 months. After studying electrical impulses from their eyes and conducting ophthalmologic exams, researchers didn’t find any reports proving that eye damage has been linked to the drugs.
This is very good news for 6.2% of man in the USA that are unable to achieve an erection and for 16.7% of men after 60 experiencing erectile dysfunction.
The researchers have realized that the results may be not the same in men with diabetes or other serious health conditions. It’s always recommended to visit phisicans before taking any drugs.
